Sender ID registration checklist

Getting an alphanumeric sender name approved

For WatuFlex clients · Web page and Word file

An alphanumeric sender ID (for example WATUHRM or STJOSEPH) must be registered through your SMS provider with the networks under TCRA rules before use. Allow three to four weeks.

  • ☐ Sender name: up to 11 characters, letters and digits, related to your registered business name
  • ☐ Certificate of incorporation / business registration
  • ☐ TIN certificate
  • ☐ Letter of authorisation on letterhead naming the sender ID and its use
  • ☐ Sample messages
  • ☐ Contact person's ID
Requirements are set by TCRA and the networks and change from time to time. Your SMS provider will tell you the current list.
